Short version (for humans)
The Consequence Framework is published under an open license because it is meant to be used—responsibly and calmly.
You are welcome to:
- read, share, and discuss the rule system
- use it in non-commercial contexts
- adapt or extend it
- test it in your own projects, teaching, or research
As long as:
- proper attribution is given
- the use is non-commercial
- derivative works use the same license
That’s it.
No tricks. No fine print.
The official license

Commercial use? Relax.
If you want to use „The Consequence Framework“:
- in a commercial game
- in a product
- in a tool
- in a service
- or in any paid offering
then the rule is simple:
👉 Just reach out.
No lawyers.
No threats.
No drama.
In most cases it’s not about money,
but about:
- proper context
- fair attribution
- shared clarity
The Consequence Framework is not a system that needs protection through fear. It is one that works through trust.
Important distinction
The Consequence Framework – rulebook & manifesto are openly licensed.
Digital Edition or Tabletop Edition (its world, texts, characters, formats, and game content) is copyrighted and not part of the open license.
In short:
- The physics are open.
- The world is not.
Why this openness?
Because systems carry responsibility.
Because pressure should be visible.
Because games can be more than optimization.
And because the right path is often the quiet one.
